1. Who we are
Twosies is a game for two people in a relationship: you answer questions about yourself, guess how your partner would answer, then compare. It is built and operated by VibeKin, the team behind the VibeKin app. Questions about this policy: support@twosies.app.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show ads.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address (or the email shared by Sign in with Apple / Google) and a display name. We never receive or store your Apple or Google password.
- Your answers: every answer, guess, quiz result and free-text reply you enter in the app. Answers are shared with exactly one person: the partner you paired with (see Section 3).
- Pairing data: which two accounts form a pair, the invite code used, and when the pair was created or ended.
- Device data: push notification token, operating system, app version and locale.
- Purchase data: entitlement status and product id via RevenueCat. Card numbers and payment details stay with Apple or Google; we never see them.
- Usage data: which activities you open and complete, so we can show progress and improve the content. Collected through PostHog in aggregate.
3. What your partner can see
Twosies is built on a reveal mechanic: your answer to an item becomes visible to your partner after both of you have answered it, and theirs becomes visible to you. Guesses, quiz types and agreement scores are visible to both people in the pair. Nothing you enter is visible to anyone outside the pair.
Some decks are marked for adults and cover sex and intimacy. They are locked until both partners confirm they want to play them, and they never appear in the daily path.
If the pair ends, each person keeps a read-only copy of the shared history; neither can see anything the other enters afterwards.
4. How we use your data
- To run the game: store answers, compute guesses and agreement, show streaks and progress.
- To send you the push notifications you opted into (your partner answered, your daily activities are ready).
- To send transactional email (sign-in codes, receipts, account notices).
- To fix bugs and understand which content works, in aggregate.
Some content in the app is written with the help of large language models before it ships. Your answers are not sent to AI providers and are not used to train models.
5. Third-party processors
- Apple (Sign in with Apple) and Google (Google Sign-In) — verify your identity when you choose those sign-in methods.
- RevenueCat — subscription and one-time purchase entitlements.
- Resend — transactional email.
- Expo Push Notifications — routes push notifications to your device.
- Sentry — crash and error reports.
- PostHog — aggregate product analytics.
- InterServer — hosts our API and the Postgres database where your account and answers are stored.
- Cloudflare R2 and Tigris — store backups of that database.
- Fly.io and Upstash — standby hosting, used only if our main server fails.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and the invite links.
6. Legal bases for processing
- United States — we honour the rights described below for all users; California residents may exercise them under the CCPA/CPRA.
- EU / EEA (GDPR) — contract performance (running the game you signed up for), consent (push notifications, adult decks), legitimate interest (security, aggregate analytics).
- Brazil (LGPD) — contract performance and legitimate interest.
7. Your rights
You can access, export, correct or delete your personal data. Email support@twosies.app and we will respond within 30 days.
To delete your account directly, use the in-app option (Us → the gear icon (Settings) → Danger → Delete my account, or see twosies.app/delete-account). Deleting your account removes your answers from your partner’s view as well.
8. Data retention
Answers, guesses and pairing data are kept while your account exists. After a deletion request, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics are retained for up to 24 months.
9. Children
Twosies is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. If you believe a person under 18 has an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect.
